Dr. Paul Maiden is a national and international consultant with 30 years of expertise in workplace human services. He has expertly led organizations and academic institutions through succession planning and change management, reintegrating veterans to the workplace and higher education, workplace violence and trauma management, drug-free workplace, managed behavioral health care, and online higher education.
Paul is Clinical Emeritus Professor of the University of Southern California (USC) where he served as Professor and Executive Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. In his role at USC, he spearheaded the development of the school’s Military Social Work Program, created the San Diego Academic Center satellite campus, and led the development of the school's Virtual Academic Center as well as the DSW, a professional doctorate in Innovation, Leadership and Advanced Social Work Practice Management in Complex Systems. Prior academic appointments include the Chair of the Occupational Work program at the University of Illinois - Chicago, and Director of the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida.
Paul is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and the Outstanding Leadership in the Profession, given by the Employee Assistance Society of North America. He is also the recipient of two Senior Fulbright Scholar awards to Russia and South Africa.
